What to Expect

Worship Service:

All are welcome to come join us for worship on Sunday.  In our worship services, we proclaim and celebrate who God is and what He has done for us and the world through Jesus Christ. We do this through congregational singing, reading Scripture, confessions of truth, praying and preaching the Word of God. Whether you are skeptical about Christian faith, curious about Christ, or a seasoned follower of Jesus, worship points us to what we all need: the Gospel.

Common Questions

How long is the service?

Our Sunday services typically last between 70 and 75 minutes.

What should I wear?

You will find anything from business-casual to casual.

Do you provide child care during the service?

Yes. Nursery is provided on Sunday mornings for ages two and under.  Families participate in the singing, prayers, Scripture readings, and confessions of truth together, but when the preaching begins, children ages three through seven may be dismissed from the service for age appropriate teaching in Children’s Church.  However, children are welcome to remain with their parents if they prefer.  For the convenience of young parents, in addition to the sanctuary,  we offer multiple ways to comfortably view the worship service with their young children.

What are the services like?

Sunday morning services include congregational singing, corporate scripture readings, prayers, confessions of truth, and relevant, Christ-centered preaching. Our service is intentional in its structure, but it’s not formal in style.

What are the sermons like?

Our sermons typically walk through books of the Bible in a sequential way (verse by verse, chapter by chapter) with the goal of exposing God's truth to the listener.  We believe that you’ll find in the pages of Scripture a compelling story of redemption and divine goodness that is relevant to your life. You can listen to some of our most recent sermon audio on our Sermons page.

What is the music like?

During our worship service, we aim for the voices of our congregation to be the main instrument. Therefore,  all accompanying instrumentation is chosen solely on its ability to better support the human voice as we strive to sing in spirit and truth.  While it is true that our worship is for an audience of One, the Scriptures also teach that we speak, teach, and admonish each other with our songs.  Therefore, we believe in a dual purpose for our singing in worship (Col 3:16, Eph 5:19). We choose songs that will be easy to sing and raise our minds and affections Godward in praise. Our songs are chosen from modern worship songs and classic hymns that have doctrinally and theologically rich lyrics.  We typically sing with acoustic guitar, keyboard, and piano. We believe congregational worship is a participatory activity, and not a spectator sport.  And so we prefer congregational singing, which emphasizes the gathered body singing praise to God with one voice, over performed music, which tends to spotlight the abilities of some while encouraging passivity in the rest.  Click here for a playlist of songs we regularly sing during our worship services.
